Why is the Samalian population left out? How many are there here in Minnesota- we have the largest population of them in the whole United States?
Sandra, that’s a great question. Our data comes from the U.S. Census. The 2010 U.S. Census did not include a breakdown of demographic data for Somolian residents. Instead, this data was grouped into a category titled “Black or African American”. Some of the Asian and Pacific Island areas are broken down into nationalities, but the “Black or African American” category is not.
