In a brand new listing from CNNMoney.com and Money Magazine – Eden Prairie, Minnesota has been selected as the Best Place to Live in America for 2010 in a listing of America’s best small cities.

How is this possible you might ask? The primary reasons cited were that it is a family-friendly small city, that has a “dynamite economy”, and a 5.1% unemployment rate. It also helps that they’ve got 50,000 jobs right in town.

Add in top-notch schools and safe streets, plenty of outdoor beauty with gently rolling hills, 17 lakes that residents flock to year-round for swimming and ice skating, and 125 miles of running, hiking, and biking trails.

Other small cities in Minnesota that made this list for 2010 include:

Rank Minnesota City Population
1 Eden Prairie 64,000
11 Plymouth 76,000
13 Woodbury 58,000
