According to the National Golf Foundation, Minnesota consistently ranks near the top in golfer participation in the U.S. In the Land of 10,000 Lakes, water is always in play.
In fact, Golf Digest Magazine’s 2008 list of America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses, includes four Minnesota courses in the top 60, more than California.

- Minnesota is the only State to have hosted all 13 USGA National Championships, the Walker Cup, and the Curtis Cup.
- Minnesota has hosted the 1932, 1954, 1959, 2002, and 2009 PGA Championships and the 2008 U.S. Women’s Open (Interlachen Country Club, Edina)
- Hazeltine Golf Club in Chanhassen, MN was the host of the 2016 Ryder Cup.
